General Guidelines
In order to enter the Cavit “Here’s to Italy” Contest, the contestant must be 21 years of age or older and a legal resident of the United States or the District of Columbia (excluding Hawaii and Utah). The official starting and ending times associated with the Cavit “Here’s to Italy” Contest is listed as 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”), January 1, 2020 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET, January 31, 2020.
3 Contest Finalists will be determined by the submissions with the most votes. Visitors can vote on recipes featured in the gallery on Cavit.com and/or Facebook.com/CavitWines one (1) time per 24 hour period.
The Grand Prize Winner will be chosen from the 3 Finalists by a panel of food editors. Their recipe submissions will be judged on the following criteria:
- Creativity – 40%
- Taste Appeal – 40%
- Wine Pairing Choice – 10%
- Visual Presentation – 10%
The Grand Prize Winner will a trip for two (2) to Italy, valued at $5,000, which includes:
- Round-trip economy class air transportation from the major U.S. airport in the contiguous 48 United States nearest winner’s residence.
- Hotel accommodations (1 standard room, double occupancy) for four consecutive nights
- Ground transportation to and from the airport in Italy
- Transportation to and from activities that are arranged by Palm Bay
How It Works:
Send in your best Italian recipe with a picture of your creation and the Cavit wine that pairs best with it. Your recipe can be for an entree, pasta, pizza, dessert. There are 3 ways to enter the “Here’s to Italy” Contest:

- The Grand Prize Winner will be selected by a panel of food editors after January 31, 2020. Winner will notified via certified mail or overnight courier around January 30, 2020.
- This is a must enter daily sweepstakes!
- Sponsors: Palm Bay International and Cavit.
Unfortunately, Palm Bay International and Cavit employees and their families, as well as their respective affiliates, printers, advertising and promotion agencies, beer, liquor and wine wholesalers and retailers and employees of any federal or state liquor authority are NOT eligible to enter the Cavit “Here’s to Italy” Contest.
Contestants who would like to obtain the name(s) of the winner(s) associated with this must enter daily sweepstakes can send a self-addressed stamped envelope after February 1, 2020 to: Here’s To Italy Winners List, 48 Harbor Park Drive, Port Washington, NY 11050. Requests for Winners List must be received by FEBRUARY 28, 2020.
